What can I bet on in basketball?

You can bet on the match winner, the point spread, total points, single quarters and halves, the top scorer and player points, pre-match and live. Match winner has no draw, so there are only two outcomes. On a −5.5 spread, the favourite has to win by 6 or more.

    Pick the team that wins the game. There's no draw, so there are only two outcomes. Some sites call this the moneyline.

    Big favourites pay very little, which is why many players use the spread instead.

  • Point spread

    The favourite gives up points and the underdog gets them. On a −5.5 line, the favourite has to win by 6 or more.

    Check the injury report. One missing starter can move the line by a few points.

  • Total points

    Bet over or under a line for the combined score of both teams.

    Fast-paced teams and weak defences push totals up.

  • Quarter and half

    Bet on the winner, spread or total for a single quarter or half, including live as the game goes on.

    These settle on that period alone, so overtime doesn't count.

Point spread

How does a point spread work?

The spread is a head start in points. The favourite gives points away and the underdog receives them, so the bet is about the winning margin, not just the winner. If the favourite is −5.5, it has to win by 6 or more.

Because the spread evens the game out, both sides are usually priced close to each other. Say a side is priced at 1.90: back ₹500 and a win returns ₹950. Lay it for ₹500 and your liability is ₹450.

Do basketball bets include overtime?

Full-game markets normally do. A tied basketball game goes to overtime until there's a winner, so match winner, spread and total points count the extra periods. Quarter and half markets settle on that period alone. If a market title isn't clear, ask support on WhatsApp before you bet.

Bets settle once the official result is in, and winnings go straight to your balance.

An NBA game is four 12-minute quarters, 48 minutes in all. EuroLeague and FIBA games are four 10-minute quarters, or 40 minutes, and overtime is five minutes in all three. The shorter game means fewer possessions, so totals lines for European games sit lower than NBA lines.
