Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and Indian card games.

Indian card games are quick casino games where most rounds settle in about a minute. This guide covers the rules of Teen Patti, Muflis, Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, Lucky 7 and 32 Cards, the Teen Patti hand rankings, and what each bet pays.

At a glance

Key takeaways

  1. This guide covers the rules of Teen Patti, Muflis, Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, Lucky 7 and 32 Cards.
  2. Teen Patti hands rank trail, pure sequence, sequence, colour, pair and high card, and three aces is the best hand.
  3. In Muflis the lowest hand wins, so a trail becomes the worst hand.
  4. In Lucky 7, a 7 comes up about 8% of the time, and low and high each come up about 46%.
  5. Live Teen Patti, Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger tables start at ₹100 a round on the same ID as your cricket bets.

01Three-card poker

How do you play Teen Patti?

The dealer deals two hands of three cards, and you bet on Player A or Player B before the timer runs out. Hands are ranked from trail, three of a kind, down to high card, and when both are the same type the higher cards win. Both hands pay close to even money.

  1. 1Bet on Player A or Player B before the timer runs out.
  2. 2The dealer deals three cards to each hand and turns them face up.
  3. 3The higher hand wins using the ranking below. If both are the same type, compare the highest card, then the next.

Teen Patti hand rankings, highest first

  1. TrailThree of a kind

Three cards of the same rank. Three aces is the best hand in the game.

    AAA
  2. Pure sequenceStraight flush

Three cards in a row, all of one suit.

    QJ10
  3. SequenceStraight

Three cards in a row in mixed suits. A-K-Q is the top run, and in most versions A-2-3 comes second.

    765
  4. ColorFlush

Three cards of one suit that aren't in a row.

    K94
  5. Pair

Two cards of the same rank. A higher pair beats a lower one, and the third card breaks a tie.

    88K
  6. High card

Anything else. The hand with the highest card wins, then the next card, then the last.

02Teen Patti, reversed

How does Muflis work?

Muflis uses the same deal and the same hand types as Teen Patti, but the lowest hand wins. A trail, the best hand in normal Teen Patti, is the worst hand in Muflis, and the best is a low high-card hand in mixed suits with no pair or run. Both hands pay close to even money.

  1. 1Bet on Player A or Player B, as in Teen Patti.
  2. 2Two three-card hands are dealt face up.
  3. 3The lower hand wins. The best possible hand is a low high-card hand in mixed suits with no pair or run.

03Inside or outside

How do you play Andar Bahar?

The dealer turns one card face up as the joker. Cards then go one at a time to Andar and Bahar, and the first side to get a card of the same rank as the joker wins; suits don't count. Both sides pay close to even money, though the side dealt first pays slightly less.

  1. 1The joker card is placed face up in the middle. Bet on Andar or Bahar.
  2. 2The dealer deals to the two sides in turn, one card at a time.
  3. 3The first card that matches the joker's rank ends the round. Suits don't count.

04One card each

How do you play Dragon Tiger?

Dragon and Tiger each get one card, and the higher card wins. Aces are low, kings are high and suits make no difference. You bet on Dragon, Tiger or a tie: Dragon or Tiger pays even money, a tie pays much more, and on a tie Dragon and Tiger bets usually lose half the stake.

  1. 1Bet on Dragon, Tiger or a tie.
  2. 2The dealer deals one card face up to each side.
  3. 3The higher card wins. If both cards share a rank, the round is a tie.

05One card, three bets

How do you play Lucky 7?

One card is drawn, and you bet that it will be low (ace to 6), high (8 to king) or exactly 7. Low and high bets both lose if the card is a 7. Out of 13 ranks only one is a 7, which comes up about 8% of the time, so a bet on 7 pays the most.

  1. 1Bet on low, high or 7.
  2. 2The dealer draws a single card.
  3. 3Low and high bets both lose if the card is a 7. A bet on 7 pays the most.

06Four players, one total

How do you play 32 Cards?

32 Cards uses a deck of the 6s through kings. Four players start on 8, 9, 10 and 11 points, each draws one card and adds its value, with a jack worth 11, a queen 12 and a king 13. The highest total wins, so player 11 pays the least and player 8 the most.

  1. 1Bet on player 8, 9, 10 or 11.
  2. 2Each player draws a card. Number cards count their face value, a jack counts 11, a queen 12 and a king 13.
  3. 3The highest total wins. If two or more players tie for the lead, those players draw again.
